Gallery in Balkanska streets
The gallery space features an exhibition titled "Heroes of the Fatherland - Those Who Died During the NATO Aggression of 1999".
The exhibition is dedicated to the fallen and missing defenders of the homeland during the armed operations in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija from February 10, 1998, and during the two and a half month NATO aggression in the spring of 1999. Photographs and personal data of the fallen and missing fighters are displayed according to a unique alphabet.
Fighting spirit and dignity, heroism and courage were the determination of all sons of the Serbian people to resist injustice and inhumanity. There are many examples of heroism where Serbian fighters showed their human determination by joining units, leaving their homes and families, choosing to fight, aware that they were endangering their own lives. This exhibition is yet another testimony to the human suffering and material destruction during the NATO aggression of 1999.
Members of the Serbian Army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as an inseparable part of their people, with their libertarian spirit heroically resisted the attacks of the greatest military power - the members of the NATO alliance. Those were the days when patriotic consciousness was fully expressed, which led to exceptional courage and moral strength of all members of the armed forces. Soldiers serving their military service, volunteers, members of the reserve corps, non-commissioned officers and officers, as well as members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, laid down their lives for their country.
There is no entrance fee.
A visit must be announced at least two days in advance by phone or email to the Military Museum.
