"Worthy - significant anniversaries of modern Serbian history through decorations from the collection of the Military Museum"
The Military Museum exhibition entitled "Worthy - Significant Anniversaries of Serbian History through Decorations from the Military Museum Collection" opened tonight in the gallery of the National Museum Kruševac, as part of the celebration of October 14 - the Liberation Day of Kruševac.
Acting Assistant Minister of Defense for Human Resources Siniša Radović, opening the exhibition, emphasized that there are words that have greater weight and significance than others, and that these are words that represent symbols of the highest values in human society.
The Director of the Military Museum, Major Mile Miković, emphasized that the Military Museum's collection contains a large number of decorations, medals and memorials that belonged to the great men of our country, and that some of the most significant ones were presented to the Kruševac public tonight through the exhibition "Worthy - Significant Anniversaries of Serbian History through Decorations from the Military Museum Collection".
The Director of the National Museum of Kruševac, Nikola Pantelić, emphasized that Kruševac – a city with a glorious past, the city of Emperor Lazar and the Kosovo Pledge, but also a city that suffered great sacrifices in both Great Wars, today proudly cultivates a culture of remembrance.
The exhibition “Worthy – Significant Anniversaries of Serbian History through Decorations from the Collection of the Military Museum” by the senior curator of the Military Museum, Bojan Vićentić, premiered at the Military Museum on the occasion of the Day of the Serbian Army in April of this year. The exhibition’s conceptual basis recalls the heroic exploits of our people in the wars of liberation from 1815 to 1945.
The exhibition will be open to the public of Kruševac until November 30.
