TitleOpen exhibition: "Images of War in the Works of Bogosav Vojinović - Pelikan (1894-1942)"
On the occasion of the celebration of the Military Museum Day on 22.08.2025. the exhibition "Images of War in the Works of Bogosav Vojinović - Pelikan (1894-1942)" by Dr. Bojana Ilić, Senior Curator of the Military Museum, was opened in the Museum Gallery. With this exhibition, the museum marks the 110th anniversary of the Defense of Belgrade and the Albanian Golgotha. The exhibition presents the works of the amateur painter, journalist, illustrator, caricaturist, highly decorated fighter from the wars of 1912-1918. and reserve officer of the Kingdom of Serbia, Bogosav Vojinović - Pelikan. The exhibition was opened by the Acting Assistant Minister for Human Resources, Mr. Siniša Radović, who on that occasion congratulated all employees on the Day of the Military Museum.
Vojinović's works participated in the creation of a cult about the fateful year of 1915 and were conceived as a visual reminder to future generations of the enormous sacrifice of the army for the freedom of the Serbian people.
The exhibition: "Images of War in the Works of Bogosav Vojinović - Pelican (1894-1942)" has opened in the Gallery of the Military Museum in Belgrade. Visitors can visit the exhibition for free every working day, except Monday, from 10:00 to 17:00 until 30.11.2025. During the exhibition, the Military Museum will organize author's guided tours through the exhibition as well as lectures, about which interested parties will be informed in a timely manner via social networks and the Military Museum website.
